I started this blog to record little emails I was sending to a few friends. Similarly, I started writing down a few thoughts on the request of friends and a couple strangers, and ended up writing a book.
Galifesto shares the coming of age of a young Zealous Christian woman, who discovers how to develop and apply the power of a compassionate heart in an Orwellian dystopia. Aided by a mysterious computer marvel, she gathers a circle of unlikely allies through unitive Synergism, leading the way toward a better world. The novel was published by Nexus of Now Media, a small press founded to share works that connect people with new ways of viewing and experiencing their world.
Now that the book is complete, I’m getting back to sharing my thoughts here. Please enjoy, and feel free to share back.
Welcome to WordPress and writing! I’ll check it out! 🙂

I as well! We are always so much stronger together, than when we feel apart.

So very true! That’s why we call them “support” groups. We each help to prop up the other and give meaningful strength and comfort to those involved in such situations as these.
You take care and enjoy your weekend, Nyn!

I checked out your book link. It looks interesting but there doesn’t appear to be a “taster” to get one “hooked”. (Unfortunately I have no links with publishers but sending prayers and good vibes your way.)

I looked at the Galifesto site again, and you’re right, the “view sample” isn’t very well positioned! I’ll inquire about getting that rectified – thank you so much for the feedback. Whoops, I also just saw that I never updated my About page to reflect the publisher’s current page. Please try again…
More importantly though, thank you for the well wishes and positive vibes. Many for you, also ❤

thanks Nynia, they are always appreciated. Does that mean you’ve found a publisher?

Yes, I have! It’s a small niche publisher that is just getting started, and the marketing didn’t get far, but it’s been a very positive experience. I’m working on a second book — not fast, but enjoyable!

I'm sorry about the loss of your friend. I agree that giving and sharing food in time of need is something that helps soothe a hurting soul. I've never baked with plums or prunes before. This bread looks lovely.

I have several sites I recommend for DNA testing but this one seems to focus on paternal. Let me know if you want others… GTLDNA is known for their paternal testing and has expanded their product lines to include DNA predisposition testing and look for the genetic markers that may cause you health concerns in the future and the testing costs $285. The website states that a MD or a professional collection agency must extract your DNA- most likely blood is obtained for this procedure.
